We have contracted for wood pellets with Lakes Region Pellets of Barnstead, NH. We hope by January that a new plant will open in Berlin, NH that can serve members in that region.

Lakes Region Pellets manufactures pellets classified as "Super Premium" according to Wood Pellet Institute standards. Moisture content is low, Ash is 0.19% and BTUs are 8933/lb. They are manufactured from 100% eastern white pine. Full test results are here.

Lakes Region Pellets regular price is $275/ton at this time. Price for members is $245/ton. A ton consists of 50 forty pound bags on a shrink wrapped palette. MINIMUM ORDER is one ton. 

Process: Members will pay OTEA for the pellets desired. Minimum for purchase and customer pickup is 1 ton. Customer must pick up the entire palette at one time which will be loaded by forklift. Lakes Region Pellets will require all members sign a waiver releasing them of any liability for vehicle damage due to loading or to  vehicle itself.   Please check the Gross Vehicle Weight of your truck or trailer before attempting to pick up pellets.

For those outside the Barnstead local area we offer 20 ton deliveries on a flatbed trailer with a forklift at a discounted rate of $239.00/ton plus shipping. Get some neighbors together and ask for a shipping quote to your town.

Curbside delivery to home will also be available. Estimated cost will be about $30/ton (+-) with an approximate 15 to 20 mile range. Longer distance delivery available at extra cost. Minimum quantities to deliver are up to the driver, if less than 3 tons ordered. Driver will deliver less than three tons at a time if he can schedule multiple deliveries in same area.
