Energy Saving Products and Services -
Last year we had enough members to negotiate wholesale product deals for our members.
We carried out a 70% discount offer on almost 1000 Intellicons, a microprocessor that makes your furnace
"smarter" and is
guaranteed by the manufacturer to save a minimum 10% on fuel.; a 30% off discount on St Croix pellet stoves and
finally
propane/natural gas powered on-demand hot water heaters.
Each of these offers required substantial volume to carry out; thus, we will do them annually but offer them for a
short time only. If you have any ideas concerning offers for our members,
please email Donna at DonnaW@otchoice.com. More members this year
will make the mix merrier. You must be a
member in good standing to participate.

Intellicons.
A "Smart" add on microprocessor with extra sensors to your "dumb" oil or
propane furnace that is guaranteed by the manufacturer to save a minimum of 10%
on your fuel bill. Mine, installed now for over a year, has saved about 15%.
We just learned that this unit will be required by Energy Star on all
new furnaces beginning this year. We still carry them for pre
2010 furnaces.
75% Rebate on
Weatherization up to $4000 - We've learned that a
Massachusetts company, Next Step Living, is partnering with PSNH to provide
energy audits and weatherization services to NH residents who are
clients of PSNH or Unatil. There is no income limit. We've checked out
their record and it's good. They've done over 1000 installations for
MassSave in Massachusetts. NHEC also has this program which is paid for by
deductions from our monthly bills. Funds are limited so it is first come,
first served.
The rebate is 75% of the job, up to a maximum of $3000 rebate, $4000 work
done. Windows and doors are NOT covered. Primary savings are from added
insulation, sealing the attic from the rest of the house and making the home
as air tight as possible.
